Musical Moments  is composed of six musicians  which between them play these instuments;

Marco Mifsud  - D/Bass, Bass Guitar, Clarinett.

Simon Farrugia - Keyboard, Accordion

James Zammit - Violin

Chris Camilleri - Drum Kit

Geordie - Singer

Tracy Tabone - Soprano

 

 

 


Marco Mifsud

Marco Mifsud began his musical talent from a very young age. He started having musical lessons at La Vallette Band Club. Later he continued his advanced studies under the world renowned musician Mro Freddie Mizzi where he obtained his grades.

After several years he obtained high marks in diplomas A.L.C.M, L.L.C.M and F.L.C.M. Marco is currently a musician with the Armed Forces of Malta and has been with them for the last fifteen years.
 

He is a brilliant Clarinet player, Double Bass player and also a Bass Guitar player. He plays in several masses celebrated in the feast week of some villages in Malta, in orchestras and he has an experience of six years with a wedding musical group.
 

 


Simon Farrugia

Simon is a gifted, self taught, sought after musician and composer. He has been playing music since 1978.
 

Simon spends his free time playing the accordion, keyboards, guitar, descant recorder, clarinet both Eb and Bb, composing music, and doing stuff which is computer related.

For over seven years, he was an esteemed musician in Malta’s Military Band where he was an admiration even amongst his fellow musician colleges and regarded as one of the top Eb Clarinet player in Malta.
 


Simon has played in Weddings both in Malta and Abroad, in Churches (Keyboards, Recorder, Clarinet and Tubular Bells) and in Wedding Receptions, with small bands, brass bands, big bands, Military Bands, quartets, and solo.

He has played with various Maltese singers.
 

 

 


James Zammit

James Zammit’s natural musical talent was evident from a very young age, starting violin lessons at the age of 5.  He later enrolled at the Johann Strauss School of Music where he continued his more advanced studies in violin with Joachim Atanassov, with whom his musical development flourished, obtaining honours marks and being prize winner a number of times.  He was also a member of the Senior School Orchestra for several years.
 

James’s love for music has continued to take priority, playing violin with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra on several occasions as well as with many other different orchestras and ensembles, including the St James Consort.  A keen chamber musician, his performances have taken him to Paris, Czechoslovakia, Macedonia and Poland.

For the past seven years, James has sought to continue developing his musical talent with piano studies at the Johann Strauss School of Music, studying with Simone Attard and lately with Joanne Camilleri, excelling with Distinction at the end of each year.


James is a versatile musican and he performs a selection of Classical/Semi Classical/Pop music in Wedding Masses and Receptions.
 

 

 


Chris Camilleri
 

Chris Camilleri is a drummer taught by Mr.J.Farrugia. Recently he has also received lessons from Mr.Colin Woolway, the founder of Drumsense. He has been teaching drum lessons for the past 7 years.

Besides, he is  also  the percussion teacher at the Sliema Band Club. He is as a very verstile person and so being a session percussionist is very important for him.

 

In the past years he has worked with several bands as a session drummer/ percussionist.
 

 


Geordie
 

Geordie was born on the 16th April 1989. Born to Mro George Debono and Singer Mariella Pace Asciak he was obviously surrounded by music. He followed his brother Malvin in releasing popular Maltese songs at the age of three.
 

His musical talents could not get unnoticed and so he started his musical studies on the piano with Ms Veronique Ferrante and later with his father who was the bandmaster of the Armed Forces of Malta.

He attended De La Salle College and finished his secondary school at St. Albert the Great College in Valletta.

Geordie's main talent however is singing he started attending voice coaching at Amadeus Chamber Choir under the hands of Mr. Brian Cefai.


 Geordie also sings in wedding masses with his parents and also plays the drums and sings in wedding Receptions. In October Geordie started producing and presenting a Saturday night show live on one of the Maltese local television stations. The show is called Entertain Me, a primtime program with live entertainment such as, live band, comedy, dancing and the local contest Euro Pop Contest Maltese Pearl which the winner will have the opportunity to represent Malta in several contests abroad;

Tracy Tabone

 

Tracy Tabone joined Choir Notre Dame Zabbar as a Soprano singer. Then she became the organist of the mentoined choir, where she  gives service  in several occasions and churches such as The Feast of the Mother of Sorrow in St' Pauls Bay, and The Feast of Lady of Sorrow In Mgarr.
 

Later she joined the choir of St. Dominic choir in Birgu, and St' Anthony's Choir in B'Kara. She also plays the piano in Weddings and other services .

 

2004 – Started giving service in 10.15am Mass at Zabbar Parish Church and on special occasions at St Joseph Sisters Zabbar.

 

2010 - joined St.Dominic’s Choir in Birgu and St Anthony’s Choir in Birkirkara.


Other experience is Singing and Playing piano in Weddings and Anniversaries.
