Preparation Course - Cana Movement
Couples
getting married in Malta in a Catholic Church where one or both of the partners are Maltese
should
attend the Marriage Preparation Course organized by the Cana Movement. This course is obligatory and Cana Movement
suggests that this course is done around 2 years before the wedding.
What does this Course consist of?
The course consists
on short and interesting talks and an occasion for you to meet other young couples like you.
Discussions are held in small groups, where you can express your opinion.
As nowadays all these Courses consist of small groups of engaged couples, it is
more easy for the couple to discuss and exchange ideas. Moreover, present
within each group there is a leading couple who will be always there to help
throughout the meetings.
Where and when are these Courses
held?
Marriage Preparation Courses are
held in various parishes around Malta, and these start in January, April and in
October. Cana Movement advises that you phone at least a month before the starting
date of the course you select, after which you have to book for the course.
On a personal
note, I would suggest booking your course well in advance
as in my case they were fully booked a month before!
When is the ideal time to attend the
Marriage Preparation Course?
The most suitable time for engaged
couples to attend this course is approximately two years before their marriage.
It is worth noting that these Courses help the couple even during their time of
engagement.
