As
soon as you decide to get married you know there
is a mammoth task ahead of you. The months
and years prior to your wedding day are packed with
preparations that must be seen in detail.
Thus
we have compiled a detailed checklist of all the
tasks that have to be done in order to ensure a
well planned wedding. Ours is only a guideline and has
been written with the Maltese culture in mind. Feel
free to amend it to better suit your needs.
Make
a printout of this checklist and cross out tasks
as you go along.
We
have left some blank lines for you to add any other
tasks you might have.

of wedding you want to have; sit down meal or reception,
villa or hotel?

Discuss the
budget, and who will pay for what.
|

Discuss the
guest list with your partner and
families.
|

Reserve the
church for your Nuptial Mass and choose
a Celebrant to whom you are close.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Book your photographer, videographer, caterer,
musician to play during your wedding ceremony and reception.
|
|
|
Book
wedding cars and other necessary transportation.
|
|
|
Consider
booking a mobile cocktail bar for your reception.
|
|
|
Attend the
obligatory Cana
Course if you are going to get married in a catholic

Start thinking about your gown and which style suits
you best.

Select the
members of the bridal party; the best

roles.

Select the
colour
scheme of your wedding.
|
|
|
Buy or hire your
wedding gown, veil and accessories plus
those of the bridesmaids and
flowergirls.
|
|
|
Hire the
groom's, best man's and other men's
outfits.
|
|
|
Have parents
select attire.
|
|
|
If
you are holding an engagement party set the
date and purchase the invitations.
