The 2003 panto was Zorro and in July, exactly before
the summer recess, we were given the parts. Keith was
given Zorro's part while I was Zorro's fiancée!
In
October 2003 we began our rehearsals. Both of us were
in another relationship, both of us planning to get
married. During the panto performances we talked
a lot about our respective relationships and our wedding
preparations....but we never thought what would happen
afterwards! On stage we just said the rehearsed lines
we knew by heart, lines full of love words, but that's
all!
On
the last day of the Christmas term, after the traditional
teachers' lunch, we just said goodbye and nothing else.
But during the Christams holidays, we spent hours talking
on the phone. It all started with an sms in which we
told each other how much we missed the panto....well,
I think, we missed each other, not the panto but at
that time we didn't have the courage to admit such thing!
During
the holidays, we both reflected on our relationships.
We talked for hours and hours, but never met.
It was towards the end of the holidays that we decided
to turn over a new page in our lives...and start a relationship.
Today,
1 year after, we are planning to getting married in
a year's time. I always wanted to get married on Easter
Sunday...and so our great day is Easter 2006.
We
surely are not Antonio Banderas and Zeta Jones...but
I can surely and honestly say that Zorro stole my heart!
