Well, I was 13 years old and he was 16 when we first met.

I used to go every Saturday to help my father at his butcher shop and he used to come and buy from the confectionery next door.  

Few weeks later I had my b'day and I don't know how he knew when my b'day was.  He had bought me a box of Baci Chocolates.  He knew I liked them!

He was too shy to give them to me so he sent the box with his friend while he waited outside.  I went out to thank him and went back in.  I was shy too.

He used to come every Saturday near my father's shop to see me, but he never asked me out.  I thought that maybe we were too young to date.

One fine Saturday he asked me whether I was going out that day and I told him that I had a family party that night.  But I was very happy that at last he had asked me out.

Valentine's day was approaching and I wanted to buy him something.  So I decided to send him a bouquet of flowers and a soft toy by delivery.

He got my number from the confectionery man and he phoned me up to thank me.

The next day was Saturday and as usual I went to my father shop.  He came and gave me a present and a rose.  I opened the present and I found a silver heart which I really liked.

He asked me what I was going to do that night and, since I was going to stay home, he asked me to go out with him.  I was so happy!

We went to Mc' Donald's at Valletta by bus as he didn't have a driving license at that time.

From that day on we kept going out together and immediately felt that we were made for each other.

Seven years has passed and in eighteen months time we are getting married.

We are very happy together and we wish that nothing falls us apart.
