Here I am telling you all about me and my boyfriend and how he proposed to me...
It was my birthday last year that is 19th June 200, during the day I called my boyfriend Mark a million times trying to figure out what he had planned for my so called birthday...after all I had thrown a very well organised (and successful! :) ) surprise party for his birthday on 24th January 2001...all I managed to get is ...''I'm broke Chris...we're not going anywhere ...''
This added to my anticipation towards the night, I was sure he was planning something big...
I finished my shift at work at 8pm and that day he offered to pick me up..ok...at exactly 8pm I was greeted with a half asleep boyfriend in the car. No present, No Flowers. No chocolate ...he immediately said that he had rented 2 dvd's and we were gonna stay inside to watch them and order a pizza..so much ha for my 21st birthday..all of a sudden, he popped out from his pocket a small box...wrapped in red...I thought...I'm getting a ring...I`m getting married...and soon i could picture myself with a white dress...ahhh...every woman's dream.
I started crying, and heheh decided it's time to open the present. I ripped the paper to be greeted with a white gold bracelet...my first thought was disappointment but then rested on the thought saying it was to early for Wedding Bells.
Ok... Mark asked if I liked it.. I said I adore it (liar!!!) anyway we arrived at his home in Tarxien...as he parked the car he asked me to get a cd that was on my side of the car. I just did not look for it (I was too angry!! ) just put my hand and handed the cd over to him...I could see the disappointment in his eyes.
I said...''What Markus ??'' (as I call him like that..heheh..he hates it)
He said ''Nothing...go inside, I have to check the brakes...get champagne out. it's your birthday..tonight we celebrate''.
''Oki-Doki''... Ha..I thought too much for celebrating, it's my birthday , he's not taking me out and he gave me a boring bracelet for my birthday...no roses...what type of man is this!
He soon came in, I was reading the paper..he came to me directly as I was sitting on a chair.
He said "Christine... I wish you a Happy Birthday ...I love you so much and handled me yet another small box" (here we go I thought!!! wooofff!!)
As I opened the box THIS TIME..I was greeted with a white gold solitaire..shiny, white..cool, just perfect!! I looked at him...''Promise me that you'll be mine..FOREVER!!...yes yes YES YES! YES!! ...
Then he said, ''Idiot...when I asked you to fetch the cd for me the box containing the ring was under the cd...that was supposed to be the surprise!''
Ahh...my temper. The he said, "Get ready...we're going for a meal.''
"Where?" I said.
''Indian''
Yippie...my favourite !!!
Since then a year has passed, me and Mark has bought a house in Tarxien and every penny that we have is going towards our nest :) :)
We are still going strong , yesterday we visited the Weddings Fair but we have no plans as yet to get married, money is tight with the loan and all...but we have talked about the 2005 most probably.
