"Love is more than a feeling; its a state of mind." - Lisa Grude

Being a group of girls who organised the party, the majority of the guests were single guys. But nonetheless I was still waiting for a special person to come into my life and I would have never guessed that I had to meet him the day after!
On the 7th June 2002 Faithless held a concert in Malta and Colin had attended together with his friends. Afterwards he went home and he wasn't quite sure whether to head for Paceville that evening or not. However, from my side of the story, after spending a relaxed evening at the Ally, where my group of friends used to hang out, one of my friends asked me whether I cared to join her to go to El Bario Latino. I had only fifteen minutes left before leaving and over there an acquaintance introduced me to Colin.
Our first conversation started with how difficult it is to meet a nice person willing to commit oneself to a serious relationship and I immediately replied that there was no need to generalise and that not everybody is the same and so the topic went on. Afterwards we exchanged mobile numbers since we soon discovered we were on the same wavelength.
And that was it, we met regularly from that day onwards, our love flourished and eight months later we decided that we would get married on the third anniversary of our first meeting - which is going to be my 28th birthday on the 7th June 2005.
I guess I am living proof that the best things in life happen when you least expect them!
At 7pm on 7th June I attended a Faithless concert at Hal Far with a friend. The place was choc-full with people most of which fell under the category of 'wild', to put it mildly. Anyway... I just couldn’t miss this concert as I was, and still am, very much into Faithless. After five hours of raving, jumping and generally being pushed around, the concert finally ended. I was feeling totally knackered, barely standing on my legs. I told my friend I was heading home to get refreshed and afterwards we agreed to meet at Paceville.
I drove home, filled up the bath with hot water, dipped in, and promptly fell asleep. I had the common sense of keeping my mobile close in the event of me dosing off. At about 2:00am I got a call from my friend asking me where on earth I was. Still waddling half-awake in the now cold water I stretched the truth a little and told him I was on my way.
Eventually I met up with him and after hopping around some bars we ended up at El Bario Latino where he met Claire and introduced her to me. We struck up a conversation that eventually led to the subject of relationships.
I told Claire something to the effect that girls these days aren’t into serious relationships. Claire strongly disagreed and I think she took it as a personal challenge because she is now determined to marry me. I think she wants to prove her point, and well...I’m more than happy to concede to the argument!
