The Engagement Ring and the Marriage Proposal.

I had always wanted that when the proposal happens, the ring would have been brought as a surprise and it happens like in the movies rather than me choosing it. Daniel knew this. He didn't know a lot about rings so he secretly agreed to meet my brother's wife (who is like a sister to me) and they would go and buy it together. I didn't know anything about this. And looking back, that was the reason why she was always asking me about how I wanted the ring!

Anyway, they agreed to meet on a particular day at Josephine's office and from there, they would go together. However...on that day I decided to go see Josephine at her office!!   hehe.

I did not see Daniel's car in the car park and when Josephine's friend opened the door, she did not tell me to come in (like usual) but told me to wait so that she could check if Josephine was here (strange but I was oblivious to it.)

So..Daniel had to hide in the kitchen :)

I wanted a glass of water but everyone was prompt to get it for me!! I really laughed after when I found out! The ring was bought from Louis Jewellers and its very beautiful, with a half band of gold and half silver. It is a Valentino Solitaire.

Anyway, the proposal was still to come. It was Christmas day and Daniel was sick :(

His family was invited to a party and we were supposed to go but instead his mother made us a small turkey dinner and we stayed home watching Stuart Little and eating on the sofa! We were both wearing very casual clothes and it was very cozy.

After the film and after we had cleared the plates, Daniel put on a romantic Christmas CD and asked me to dance.

I said that his fever might go up but he insisted. I go up to dance with him and after a while, he put his hand in his pocket and slipped out a heart shaped ring box, opened it, and asked me to marry him.

It was the most romantic and loving feeling. I am the luckiest person in the world!
