Oh God this is difficult to write in a few lines. Let me try!

It was December, nearly Christmas time, when Alfred and myself were chatting on mIRC.  We were not strangers as I knew him from old friends and had also met for a couple of times through common friends.  Anyway, Alfred was telling me that some of his friends have been sick and he was staying home for Xmas.

Obviously, I instantly told him that he should join us.  He refused at first, but after a lot of ‘u ejja’ and similar, he accepted.  At that point, I told him that together with a friend I was going to pick him up at home, at around 10pm.  And there he was, wearing a blue suit, nice tie...I thought, "Hmmmmmm, nice guy!"

To cut a long story short, we went to Paceville, and as it was raining quite a lot, Alfred volunteered to get me cosy under his coat, closing it with me in it.  I immediately felt the bond with this guy, but obviously did not say anything, just stood there, silent, blushing.  That was Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Day, I had decided to stay home with mum and dad and did not go out, but on the 26th, Boxing Day, my friend sms’ed me asking whether I would have liked to hang out, and I said yes.  I sms’ed Alfred asking him whether he loved to join, and he said yes.

Same story, same procedure.

We went to Paceville, which was quite empty for a change and we ended up drinking vodka and tequila in a Bar we both hated.  I was not drunk, but a bit happy ... so, as you might be guessing, we ended up kissing, me starting the ‘game’.

The day after I was feeling quite strange as I was just going out of a bumpy relationship.  But deep down I had already decided to give it a try…until Alfred sent me an sms telling me that “it was a mistake and we must stop there.”

I felt like dying.  Not that I had fallen in love with him after one night, but you know, it feels just bad.  I did not accept it and sms’ed him back telling him we should meet up somewhere and talk about it.

He agreed.

We met, we talked and he kept insisting that we should not try this out because he was afraid to get hurt, and then, suddenly I told him these exact words:

"We either try this out, I hurt you, and then you f**k me off, or else, we don't, and you keep wondering for all your life how it might have been."

He kissed me...and we're together to date and getting married this year!

Maybe now you all know what is the connection between all the 26'es in our dates ;)

Elaine.
