Wedding Date:  28th June 2009

My boyfriend Daniel is a police officer and he is stationed at the police station where I live.

Christmas of 2004 is when I began to see Daniel frequently at the station. We spoke to each other often as we both used to visit the band club which is next to the police station.

I noticed that he had a wonderful character but I knew nothing about him except his name and that he was from Tarxien.

From Christmas till July we kept meeting at the same place, spending a lot of time talking, but never on our own as I was always with my friends.

On the 15th of July 2005, I went to Gianpula with my friend Claire.  We were next to the Bar when I saw Claire being bumped. When we turned around to see who the one who bumped her was and to my surprise I found myself face to face with Daniel.  

I looked around to see who he was with, and all I saw was his (huge) friend ... he was almost 7 foot tall! :-)

I asked Daniel whether they where on their own and he said yes. It was a relief and I thought "well at least he's still single!"  

Daniel offered me a drink for the first time.  I asked him for his mobile number and I gave him mine.  Around 4.15am we had to leave.  We said our goodbyes and left. I was very happy that I met him and deep in my heart I was wishing to meet him again.

The following Monday, he was working the night shift, and when I went to the strand with my friend Maria.  We went to talk to him and remained there till midnight. The day after (Tuesday), when I was returning home from work at around 5pm, I saw him at the station.  I went near him and remained there till 8.30pm.

I knew that something was different because I never had enough of being with him.

That same day in the evening I decided to send him the first sms and I told him something funny about work.  He replied and we kept on sending messages for about two hours!

The day after (Wednesday), when I got back home from work, I messaged him asking him how his day was hoping that he'll ask me out that evening…but he didn't! I went for my friend, and later received a message from him asking me where I was to come near me.

In 30 minutes he came by.  I left my friend and went to talk to him.  He asked me to get inside his car and we went for a drive. We talked and talked and got to know each other more, but the first kiss never arrived, not even when he returned me home. I still wish he had kissed me that day. :-)

Thursday, the same story repeated itself, he came for me, we went for a drive, we talked for several hours but he didn't approach me for a kiss. I was shy and that's what kept me from taking the lead!

We decided to meet the following day at Gianpula.

It was Friday, 22nd July 2005 and I was very anxious that I was going to meet him again.

I was hoping that this was going to be a great opportunity for us to kiss.

I went with my friend Claire and we waited for him. At around 1.15am he arrived and Claire left us alone. We danced till 4.00 am. I noticed that he wanted to kiss me but was to shy to do it.  At around 4.30 am he told me that he was leaving and I was definitely not going to leave without a kiss that day.

I called Claire and told her to come to leave together but she was talking with someone.  So I took the opportunity to approach him and as I was going to tell him goodbye I moved very close to his face and we started to kiss!

That was the best kiss I've ever had and I think he liked it too because he couldn't stop! Hehe!

From that day we never regretted that first kiss and we are very happy together. There are no differences between us because we love each other in every way and respect one another.

On March 14th, 2006 we chose our wedding date.  Our Big Day is going to be Sunday the 28th of June 2009.

We both can't wait for this day to come although we both still have many things to work on. But we're working on them together.
