Well,
I'll tell you our story...
I've
been going out with my boyfriend for the past 8
year and half. Like any other couple we have had
our ups and downs but due to our strong relationship
we have always been next to each other.
It
was May 27th 2001 (our anniversary) when Adrian
proposed to marry him! For me it was a very nice
surprise since until that date I used to tell him
that he is not a romantic person.
As
soon as I woke up I sent an SMS to Adrian 'HAPPY
ANNIVERSARY' but he didn't even bother to reply
to my message. After I finished from work
I received a call from Adrian telling me that he
was coming for me at around 8pm.
We
went to a Chinese restaurant in Xemxija where we
spent about 3 hours talking about the time that
we had spent together. When we went out from
the restaurant Adrian asked me "Do you trust
me?" and I told him "Of course I trust
you after all these years!".
Then
he gave me a sleeping aid and I told him "What's
this for?"
"You
said that you trust me so cover your eyes and wait"
he replied. I had no choice and I had to cover my
eyes.
He
started driving and when he went past roundabout
I told him "We are going to Ghajn Tuffieha"
and he told me "You're looking!". "How
can I see if my eyes are covered?!" I exlaimed.
After
5 minutes the car stopped, Adrian took me out of
the car and we started walking. I was only hearing
the waves from the sea. I felt so scared as I was
imagining that he was going to throw me!
Infact
he asked me "Are you scared?"
I
told him 'No, I told you that I trust you, how can
I be scared?"
I
couldn't walk as my eyes were still covered. Then
he decided to lift me up on his back. We went down
the stairs and then when he stopped he stayed behind
me. I grabbed his hands, then he told me "WILL
YOU MARRY ME?"
He
uncovered my eyes and I saw "MARRY ME' written
with candles on the sand. I was so happy that
tears came out from my eyes and of course I told
him "YES I WANT TO". There
was also a bottle of champagne with two glasses
where we celebrated together.
Then
we decided to set our wedding date for the 7th December
2003.
Everyday
that passes, we love each other more and we are
now looking forward to get married on this special
day.
