"Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart or burn down your house, you can never tell." - Joan Crawford

Alex and I met on the Internet, sounds cliché but it's true.
We met on a local chat server on IRC. We started chatting and immediately felt that there was something special. We decided to meet after just three weeks! We met in front of Gallarija in Fgura, on the 1st of March 2000.
Alex came to pick me up after my piano lesson. There were lots of people there, but as soon as I saw him I instinctively knew that it was him. We talked for a while and afterwards he took me home. We continued chatting online for a few days and then met again...and from there it started.
After just three months Alex popped the question...or rather, threw it at me! Let me explain… At an attempt at being romantic, he bought me a ring all by himself and then came for me suggesting a drive to Kalafrana, a beautiful rocky area near Marsaxlokk. Alex had the ring in a box in his trousers’ pocket, which I had noticed from a mile away...but anyways. Whilst going down the steps to go by the sea, the ring came out of its placement in the box and starting banging against the plastic making a most interesting sound!
Finally Alex gave up his attempt at romanticism and flung the ring at me saying "There, I hope you like it.” I opened the box and hated the ring on site but said "Thank you, it's beautiful." Fortunately I grew to love it now :)
Well, to cut a long story short, we've been together for four years, bought a house, adopted two cats and we'll get married by the end of this year.
