He
was disillusioned with females in general and thinking
of everything but commitment.
We
met last in 2003 through a mutual friend, at a party
and started chatting. I still remember thinking how
nice he was, and that I hadn't met someone so interesting
in such a long time.
After
the party some friends of mine decided to go out for
a drink and, seeing that we were really getting along,
my best friend asked him to join us, which he did. We
talked all the time.
I
remember hoping that he would ask me for my number.
Later I found out that he kept trying to bring up any
subject that would lead him to asking me for my number!
The following week he asked me on a date, which
went really well and we set a date for the following
weekend.
We've
been together ever since and I’m glad to say it was
a really great year since we work in the same profession
and agree on everything. Him not being ready for
commitment and me not wanting a serious relationship
ended up in being both of us extremely happy together.
I
never thought that I could ever feel this way for someone.
I never thought that there really was someone out there
who would be perfect for me. I always thought that being
with someone meant hard work. But I now know what it
means because I have met my soul mate.
We
plan to get married when we settle down financially
which will hopefully be in about two to three years'
time.
I
want to take the opportunity to thank him for making
this past year the happiest in my life and to tell him
that I can't wait to spend every moment with him.
