Ruth Frendo to Krist Axisa

Wedding date:  16th July 2005

Well our story is a little sort of funnily unique.

I have known my boyfriend since we were at the age of only 5.  We've attended the same Primary school, actually from the kindergarten up to year 4.

In those years I had a ‘new boyfriend’ every year (you know how kids are) but Krist was never with those I liked for that time!

From year 5 onwards we never met again until in 1996 when a friend of mine at the Junior Lyceum invited me and my school friends to her hike and birthday party.

At that time I was still attending the ‘muzew’ and my boyfriend was with another girl.  You know how it feels ‘love at first site’ and so it happened to me after all those years.

After a couple of days I left ‘muzew’ and he left his girly friend.  We got to know each other more.  I also began to attend the scout group and sometimes we went out together, but only just as friends. We used to meet at school as well.  Sometimes he waited for me for two hours just to walk home together.

After nearly a year, on a fine summer day, we went for a camping with the Scout’s group - adults only.  First he began to tease & flirting. We were having a great time together with our friends and soon we all felt asleep under the beautiful summer sky.

But I couldn't sleep that night cause I was feeling excited of what was happening to me, when suddenly I heard my boyfriend asking his friend - "X'ha naghmel nghidilha?  Ma nafx kif?" and my friend replied "Melsilha xagharha" and so he did – hanini.

At that moment they all thought that I was asleep, but I was sooooo awake! I thought that if I say something ‘jew niksru jew jerga jibdilu’ so I remained quiet.

From the next morning our loving journey began.  We will celebrate our 8th anniversary this year (2005).  We are also getting married this year and we feel the same as in the beginning!
