Planning Your Wedding in Malta

Wedding Day:

  • Have a nice and relaxed breakfast.
  • Confirm the delivery of drinks, the going-away outfits, guest book and pen, and any other items to the reception venue.
  • Get married!  Make sure you enjoy your big day to the full!

The Days After:

  • Take the wedding gown and veil to be cleaned at an experienced laundry.
  • Soon after the wedding take the bridal bouquet for preservation.
  • Make sure all vendors have been paid in full.
  • Take off on your honeymoon and enjoy it!  You deserve it!


The Months After:

  • Within two months find time to send the ‘Thank you’ notes if not already done so.
  • Within three months apply to claim the VAT paid on your wedding services. Read ‘The Wedding/Civil Union VAT Expenses Grant‘.
  • Within six months apply for the Malta Government Marriage Grant of over €540 per couple. Read ‘How to Apply for the Government Marriage Grant‘
